Who we support
Shore Speech supports adults who would like help with their communication.
We welcome enquiries from:
• Adults who want to feel more confident communicating, including those with a diagnosis (such as stroke, Parkinson’s or other neurological conditions) that affects their speech or communication.
• Family members or loved ones who would like coaching on how to better support someone else's communication.
For example, an adult son who wants to have richer conversations with his mum after a stroke.
• Adults living with fatigue-related conditions, such as Chronic Fatigue or Long Covid, who would like support managing the impact of fatigue on their communication.
• Adults who experience stammering or selective mutism and would like support with speaking more comfortably.
• Adults who would like support with their reading and writing skills after an acquired neurological condition.
We offer a slightly different approach to speech and language therapy, supporting not only communication skills but also confidence, wellbeing and participation in everyday life via natural interactions. This service is ideal for those with mild to moderate communication difficulties, as well as family members seeking guidance and support. Through meaningful activities, conversation and confidence-building approaches, Shore Speech provides a calm and positive space to help you feel more connected and comfortable in your communication.
Please note:
1. Shore Speech is currently unable to support individuals who are currently receiving NHS Speech and Language Therapy or those who require help with swallowing, eating, or drinking.
2. This service does not replace counselling or specialist mental health support. If this is something you may benefit from, we are happy to guide you towards appropriate services.

MEET LUCIE - SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST
I’m a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (BSc Hons, MRCSLT), graduating with a first-class degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019. Since then, I’ve gained experience across a range of settings, including working with adults with acquired neurological conditions in the community and within NHS children’s speech and language therapy teams. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and HCPC registered.
I’m passionate about helping people feel comfortable and confident in conversations. I believe adult therapy can be as engaging and fun as children’s sessions, often incorporating crafts, word games, and activities tailored to your interests.
I have a particular interest in supporting adults with chronic fatigue, long COVID, and professionals looking to improve communication in their workplace. I also enjoy working with clients keen to develop their reading and writing skills.
I have an enhanced DBS certificate and am committed to providing a safe, confidential service. I keep my caseload small to provide a bespoke, flexible service that suits your needs. Whether you prefer monthly sessions, regular remote check-ins, or more intensive twice-weekly 20-minute sessions, I tailor therapy around what works best for you.
